Meet our newest Mary Jane for ladies: The English Countryside Flats! These leather flats are made of rich caramel-brown leather with a gorgeous brass buckle closure. What truly makes these Mary Janes is a unique criss-cross strap design and ballet-style silhouette. These shoes are perfectly vintage, yet easy-to-style! These Mary Janes pair beautifully with everything from skirts and dresses to a simple pair of jeans and a trench coat.
Now for the details…
The Leather:
We used a rich vegetable-tanned leather from one of the last vegetable tanneries in the USA: Wickett and Craig. Wickett and Craig has been perfecting it’s leather since 1867, and every bit of that shows up in their leathers! The color and character of their leather is unbeatable and will only become better as you wear these shoes in.
The Buckle:
We have used a small brass buckle for the closure on these Made in the USA Women’s shoes. This quality closure provides a classy and adjustable finish to these vintage-style Mary Janes!
The Sole:
We have selected a high-quality Vibram rubber for the outsole of these Women’s shoes Made in the USA. This rubber is made in Italy and is renowned for its longevity!
The Insole:
We have partnered with another USA manufacture to put the most comfortable insole possible in these shoes. These insoles will make you feel like you are walking on a cloud! The insoles feature a gel padding at strategic pressure points on your foot (heel and the balls fo the feet). This allows for a supreme amount of comfort for all day wear!

These shoes are made by hand in the USA! Gracious May Shoes are artisan crafted. Our shoemaking team is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, area. It is our passion to carry the torch in US Manufacturing through the production of artisanal quality, made in the USA shoes.

A Gracious May Artisan Shoe is one made using locally sourced leathers. An artisan shoe has been made, molded, and lasted by hand right here in the USA. We often employ hand-dying techniques to finish the edges of our Artisan Made shoes. Behind every pair of Gracious May Shoes is a specially trained shoemaker. The Gracious May Artisan Team features members with over a decade of experience in the art of shoemaking. A Gracious May goal is to revive US manufacturing. One of the ways we are working toward this is through our premium line of American Made Shoes!
